There are a lot of helpful tips and advice out there today, but generally, the majority of those are focused only around 2 things:
Which yes! Both are important when trying to burn fat, I think the majority of us already know that.
But what if we told you that there are 3 things that have NOTHING to do with those two topics and these 3 things could have just as much or even MORE of an impact on your fat loss?!
These 3 things are often overlooked and could be getting in your way from seeing the results you want!
So, what are they?
1. GET MORE SLEEP!
Most of the clients we talk to are not getting enough sleep. Typically we find that most people run on 5-6 hours of sleep per night! When typically we want to clients get 7-8 hours of sleep per night.
Of course, getting more sleep probably sounds nice to just about all of us right?
But when it comes to your sleep and fat loss, getting that 7-8 hours of sleep won't just help you have more energy and feel better, but it actually will help your fat loss.
Because sleep will help regulate your blood sugar levels throughout the day and decrease stress, both are crucial for fat loss!
2. STAY HYDRATED!
Drinking WATER and staying hydrated has multiple health benefits such as:
*Flushes out toxins
*Boost immune system
*Decreases sensation of hunger
*Regulates blood sugar levels
The list can go on and on! Hydration really becomes crucial while you are eating right and working out. We find that most clients who come in are dehydrated and notice significant improvements when they start drinking more water.
We typically recommend Females, who are active, drink at least 1 gallon of water per day and for active Males to drink 1.5 gallons of water.
These recommendations can change depending on career and lifestyle.
3. STRESS MANAGEMENT
It seems as though society has become more and more stressful. The majority of people today live with constant stress and forget what a life without stress even feels like.
Which is why you are seeing more and more app. and mindfulness things come out into the health and wellness market today.
When you live with high levels of stress, your body continues to release a stress hormone called Cortisol.
Cortisol is not necessarily a bad thing, but too much of it in your body can be.
Having too much cortisol will cause irregular blood sugar levels and inflammation which is always a precursor to a lot of other diseases.
It will also have a huge impact on your hormone regulation.
Learning to manage your stress is not just a good habit for fat loss, but it is also a huge benefit to your overall health and wellbeing.
We recommend doing a few things:
-Schedule your days out every week. Write out every set appointment or to do list so you can visually see what you have going on and plan accordingly.
-Take just 5 mins to meditate without any distractions. There are a lot of apps. and things that can help you meditate if you are unfamiliar with mediation.
-Journal thoughts, feelings, emotions that can be difficult to communicate but are needed for you to get out and process in a healthy manner.
Simple daily habits such as these can really decrease a lot of your stress levels and help you feel so much better!
Taking the time to focus on these 3 things while focused on your nutrition and workouts will have huge impacts on your health and fat loss.
They are things that you can start implementing immediately and even start feeling the difference!
